DJI, a global leader in the production of drone and camera technologies, and Seagate, a manufacturer of data storage solutions, have joined forces to offer broader storage options for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) users. At the CES 2017 held between January 5 and 8, forming a strategic alliance, the two are preparing to respond to the requests of UAV users. In this context, it was stated that firms will focus on a solution that effectively stores, manages and reduces the data.

With just one drone, hundreds of gigabytes of data can be collected. You can even create an 52K video with an advanced drone like DJITM 2. At high resolution these videos are also taking up a lot of storage space. Combined with their expertise in this problem, as Drones’ flight times and resolution of cameras increase, DJI and Seagate’s products will simplify each step of the drone flight and data collection process for users.

The date for storage has been revealed

Tim Bucher, senior executive vice president of Seagate Consumer Solutions, stated that they are proud to work with DJI as Seagate; and that UAV users will contribute to their development and to having the storage systems they need. Bucher emphasized that drone flights would provide different world experiences for the users; and in this sense he stated that they would carry out serious work with DJI.

The success of the studies that will be presented by the pair; which will introduce their first common products to the market later this year, is not only the drone; all the technology is expected by the world. If DJI and Seagate succeed in drones, it’s likely that they can also offer a solution to mobile devices.
