Having signed both technological and environmentally friendly work with solar powered 3D palms, Emirates stated that Dubai would transform 3D into the building capital. The official opening of the 3D printed office, one of the ambitious projects of the Middle East, was realized. This building, known as the ‘Office of the Future’, is both local and global.
The Office of the Future, which consists of a 2,700 square meter single layer, is a successful product that is expected to launch a new era in the 3D construction sector with its resilience and exterior design. The printing process was carried out in Shanghai, China and the parts of the office were produced in Dubai with a 3D printer in a size of 37 meters. Thanks to the parts produced in 3D instead of the classic method; saving 80% in cost, 60% in labour and construction waste, fibre-supported plastic and glass fibre-reinforced gypsum. Speaking about the building, which takes only 17 days to print, Dubai Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum described the office as the first step towards making Dubai a center of global innovation.
It was announced that the Office of the Future is planned to be used as a venue for international delegates, and will also host the Dubai Future Foundation at the same time. The office’s exterior design was made by Austrian furniture company Bene, deserves the name “Office of the Future” with its futuristic design and elegance.
