Aiming to add online services to its 3D printing and solutions, software company SD3D announced that it bought Printelize.
Acquiring Printelize bringing advantage to manufacturers by its online sales platform, SD3D will compound the firm’s software technology with its own 3D experience. Both of the firms’ authorities are said to be pleased with this venture.
The acquisition includes Printelize Marketplace and Printelize Professional. Professional is a web-based platform in which companies, small and large, can offer an auto-quoting solution to their incoming clients and manage the printing workflow. The service is offered to users as a monthly subscription and users are given a robust amount of options to customize their platform for their own business. Marketplace connects users who have 3D models they want printed with users who have 3D printers.

SD3D will be continuing the Printelize service, allowing current customers to continue using the features they have come accustom to, and new features are being developed such as automatic file conversions and mesh healing. SD3D will develop the platform into a robust, feature rich 3D printing operating system and automation platform.
“The acquisition of Printelize provides incredible competitive and strategic advantages that will allow us to better serve the needs of our current and future customers,” said David Feeney, CEO of SD3D. “SD3D is in the process of creating an end to end 3D printing automation platform for businesses, and the Printelize software will serve as the foundation.”
The former CEO and founder of Printelize, Tomasz Cichowicz states; “I’m thrilled to have a team like SD3D be as passionate about Printelize as I am. Me and my team built Printelize to solve large issues in the 3D printing industry and are excited to see what SD3D does with it from here. The enterprise software we created is the ultimate answer to the needs for digital transformation of the industry. At the end of the day we saw more added value of integrating our innovation into SD3D than doing it ourselves. With SD3D expertise the solution can be brought to the next level and secure its dominant position in the market.”
