Turkey’s Digital Score Raised

Continuing its digital journey, Turkey’s digital report score in raised to 61 in 2016.

According to Accenture Digitalization Index report’s results, Turkey’s score raised 1%  compared to the last year and became 61% in 2016. As the report suggests the most digitally active sector was Financial Services followed by Retail Trade and Trade and Maintenance of Motor Land Vehicles.

Carried out by Accenture, Vodafone, Boğaziçi University, Middle East University and Turkey Foundation for Science for the second time, Digitalization Index revealed that Financial Servives led the way with 83% ratio of using digital technologies. Among the companies joined the project the ones received 81% and higher score defined as ‘Digitalization Pioneers’.

Also it is stated that Turkish companies generally prefer using digital technologies intercorporate operations rather than customer relations. The rate of using digital technology intercorporate operations was 61% whereas this number was 52% in customer relations. In the report, it is also highlighted that most of the leading companies in Turkey don’t pay enough attention to security precautions which is another issue needs to be worked on.
