Beylikdüzü Municipality Met Youth in The Literature Workshop

Drawing interest by its social events as well as education projects, Beylikdüzü Municipality aims to bring reading habit and the youth together with a Literature Workshop.  The first edition of the workshop was held on the 10th of December.

Beylikdüzü Municipality formed Beylikdüzü Youth Education Center(BEYGEM)  in order to support education.  This center now welcomes Literature Workshop to inspire students and develop different perpectives. The first workshop took place in Beylicium AVM Erol Günaydın Stage themed ‘Social Media Literacy’.

In the workshop, the students were informed on reaching to news and information in social media platforms, analyze the information as well as evaluating that with different perspective. Received great interest from the students in Beylikdüzü, the workshops other editions will include LYS literature seminars, author-poet sessions, reading groups and personal education seminars.

Stating that they present a fruitful environment to the youth aiming to become a writer, a skilled reader or likes reading, BEYGEM Turkish Language and Literature Head of Department Hakan Gürses continued thusly; “We are currently give service for BEYGEM students. But in time we aim to spread this to whole province.”

After graduating from the Department of Journalism in the Faculty of Communication at Ankara University, Mr. Engin Buz completed his master's degree in Yıldız Technical University's Department of Political Science and International Relations.
