Chinese service providers stated that they won’t charge mobile internet beginning from October.
Chinese service providers China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom stated that mobile internet will be free which brings the question ‘If this can be possible everywhere in the future?’ in our minds.
The rule will start on the first September which is the 68th establishment anniversary of People’s Republic of China. In this regard from that date on there will be no roaming charge. Stating that local internet revenues form only a little part of their total share, Board Chairman of China Mobile Lie Yue said that they aimed to open doors for innovations. China Telecom made the statement that they wil start focusing more on innovative applications and wide band internet.
Chinese Industry and Information Technologies Vice-Minister Chen Zhaoxiong said that they aimed to abolish all the roaming charges and decrease the fee of long distance calls for medium size companies.
