Concept Laser Prepares for Mass Production with Its New Vision

TCT show held last week, hosted both personal and sectoral 3D printer innovations. In wide format metal segment, Concept Laser introduced its new printer systems.

Attaracting great interest this year with the 50% growth sales and ‘Additive Manufacturing Factory of Tomorrow’, Concept Laser was in the spotlight of TCT fair as well. Making a pre-launch of its new system, the company gave place to example parts at its booth.

Casten Edelmann, Regional Sales Manager at Concept Laser, spoke to TCT on the show floor about how the company is increasing capabilities through this new vision as the industry moves away from prototyping towards series production. Concept Laser is proposing a fully automated architecture which will increase production time and reduce the labour needed to operate.

“We’re going very fast in the direction of mass production applications,” Karsten commented. “We will present a new vision since we have a lot of companies that are working with 30, 40 machines and more, this is more serial production, no longer a prototype application. So we will come up with a new architecture which will be fully automatically driven to reduce costs for each unit and ramp up capabilities in a small footprint.”
