Is Media and Entertainment Giant Entering 3D Sector?

Is the leading brand of global entertaining industry, Disney entering to 3D world? According to the resources, it is stated that Disney acquired 3D printed toy maker MakieLab.

England based MakieLab manufactures customized, 3D printed toys since 2012. Experiencing a slowdown in developing 3D market where competition is increasing, the company is announced to be bought by Disney. Even though there is no an official announcement, it is signalled that the firm will continue its work under Disney.

Expressing that it stopped operations for an uncertaing time on the website, MakieLab explained that it is acquired by an American based media giant. Also the fact that MakieLab CEO and founder Alice Taylor is seen as the new Director of Walt Disney StudioLab brought the idea that this media giant can be Disney. Also the company takes place at Disney’s Accelerator startup program started in 2015.

The company stated thusly in the announcement; “Makies technology and platform has been successfully acquired by a fantastic U.S. media behemoth, who we hope will do something wonderful with it very soon”
