Mimaki Europe new managing director took office

Mimaki Europe announced that Takahiro Hiraki has been appointed as a managing director.

A leading manufacturer of inkjet printers and cutting systems, Mimaki Europe announced the appointment of Hiraki on 31 August. Hiraki advanced in the career over the 20 years at Mimaki Europe and made significant contributions to the company in various positions during this period. After serving on the board of directors, Hiraki finally took over the responsibility of the general manager of the company.

The company has been serving since 2004 as Mimaki’s gateway to EMEA (Europe, The Middle East and Africa). The company has recently announced that they give the responsibility of the managing director of Mimaki Europe to Takahiro Hiraki. Hiraki’s journey of work in Mimaki Europe began in 1997 when he joined Mimaki Engineering as a sales representative for the Mimaki CF series. Since then, Hiraki has continued his career in this company. Over the years, developing his expertise in technology and working in various senior positions, Hiraki made a significant progress in his sales career.

From sales representative to managing director

During this period, while advancing successfully in the career, Hiraki became responsible for larger teams and Mimaki’s success in new and emerging markets as the company expanded its solutions. Hiraki joined the board of directors in 2019 and assumed the responsibility of the managing director this year. Thus, Hiraki carried his career, which he started as a sales representative at the company, to the managing director. The company explained that the appointment to managing director of the region this year reflects Hiraki’s commitment to the organisation and enthusiasm for this diverse, innovative, and successful part of the Mimaki business. Hiraki stated that his goal as managing director for Mimaki Europe is to further develop relationships with their partners and customers to meet the evolving local needs of these businesses and take the company into its next phase of success.

Ryosuke Nakayama was also appointed as Hiraki’s executive assistant. Nakayama joined Mimaki Engineering in 2012 and during his 8 years at the company; has excelled in marketing, sales, and product management roles worldwide. The company explained that Nakayama’s extensive experience, expertise and diverse skillset; would be substantial assets to the Mimaki Europe management team. Mimaki Engineering General Manager, Yuji Ikeda noted that in Hiraki and Nakayama; Mimaki Europe is adding two accomplished and highly qualified team members. Ikeda said; “I am confident that Hiraki will lead this newly bolstered team to achieve great things in the months ahead; despite the unprecedented and challenging situation we have all faced this year. I wish him and Mimaki Europe every success.”
