Scope for Design Unites 3D World in A Social Platform

German software and counselling firm, Scope for Design prepares to share its technology with 3D world. The firm will provide open source glasses and other accessories designs and support other companies in the sector.

Germany, Munich based 3D printing solutions provider Scope for Design created a platform makes 3D technology more accessible for personal and professional users. Sharing its designs Scope-for-Design-printing3dnewsand turning this platform into a social network, the company stated that this venture would bring more manufacturer and designers together.

The platform has an automated pricing system built in to calculate production costs at any stage of a particular manufacturing cycle so that each party can check their potential profits. Scope for Design even has a range of products ready to go, including phone cases, eyewear and jewellery, which can get retailers and online resellers started.

“Everybody contributes with what they do best and together we can create a unique product for the customer,” said co-founder Simon Bauer. “Designers focus on developing products and can sell them on the platform. Manufacturers can offer a variety of materials and technologies, and make these available to designers for their products.
