Titan Robotics Assertive about Fast Manufacturing with Pellet Extruder

Share

Serving with printing and printer manufacturing, Titan Robotics is now in the spotlight with a very interesting innovation. Cooperating with Push Plastic, the company developed ‘pellet extruder’ system.

The producer of Atlas desktop printer, Titan Robotics started its product development projects. Improving a new type of extruder to enable faster production, the company is stated to work with filament manufacturer Push Plastic.

In order to take advantage of the low cost of plastic pellets, 3D printer manufacturer Titan ekstruder-printing3dnews6Robotics has teamed up with 3D printing filament specialist Push Plastic to develop a pellet extrusion system for Titan’s Atlas 3D printer, an FDM machine with a huge build volume which is 915 x 915 x 1,220mm for the Atlas 2.0. By removing the need for specialist filament and creating an extrusion system that melts plastic pellets and extrudes them directly onto the print bed, the two companies believe they can offer huge savings to makers while also offering a high-quality product with faster feed and flow rates than traditional systems.

ABS, PLA, Polikarbonat reçine, HIPS ve karbon elyafı gibi hammaddelerle kullanılabilen ekstrüder sistemi 3 mm.’lik bir nozulla saatte yaklaşık 2,5 kg. plastiği eritebiliyor. Geliştirme çalışmaları devam eden ekstrüderde bu rakamın saatte 3-4 kg.’ye çıkarılması hedefleniyor.

Titan Robotics sees two main advantages for a pellet extruder which are price and speed. Compared to filament that is priced around 20 to 30 dollars per kilogram, the price for the same amount of pellets, that are usually widely available, is 2 to 5 dollars.
