Two Technology Experts Joining Manufacturing Forces

Starting the year with new R2 and C2 models, Robo 3D expands its production volume. Looking forward to release their new printers, the company will receive suppırt for mass production.

Drawing attention with R2 and C2 shown at CES 2017 for the first time, USA based Robo 3D is awaiting for a busy term. Speeding up its printer manufacturing in order to meet market demands, the firm made a partnership with Foxconn Technology Group. Thanks to this cooperation, Foxconn will support R2 printer’s manufacturing.

Meeting the sector at CES 2017 held between 5-8 January, Robo’s new printers R2 and D2 got credit.  Automatic calibration, touch screen, WiFi and print speed are highly demanded by the sector. Getting Foxconn’s manufacturing support whose production portfolio includes iPhone, iPad, Kindle and Playstation, the company aims to accelerate its manufacturing capacity.

The Robo R2 smart 3D printer boasts a number of useful features, including an on-board camera, a heated print bed, and a smart-control, color touch-screen. With a build size of 203 x 203 x 254 mm, the R2 is slightly larger than its C2 counterpart. Additional features include the ability for dual extrusion, an automatic self-leveling print bed, dual high-speed fans, filament run-out detection, and more.

The new 3D printers are also paired with Robo 3D’s new Robo App, which gives users the ability to control and monitor the 3D printer from their phones. According to the company, “The app lets you connect and print right from your mobile device, monitor the progress of every print in real time, manage multiple prints and printers at once, connect to cloud libraries and access thousands of 3D models, make in-app purchases and get access to 24/7 support and helpful tutorials.”
